        2012 is the Centennial Year of the Tsinghua University Library. One hundred years of historical development brings the Library boundless achievements; one hundred years of collecting has resulted in the accumulation of priceless treasures. The Tsinghua University Library has established a comprehensive collection that serves a multitude of fields in sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The library is the critical, irrefutable supporting platform of the University’s teaching, research, and learning.

        The Centennial offers a wonderful opportunity to look back on our history and also look forward to the future. We thank our peer libraries for their kindness and strong support over the years. We are holding a Celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of  Tsinghua University Library and  Tsinghua-Cornell International Forum on University Library Futures: Adapting Library Heritage, Culture, and Values to the 21^stCentury University on November 2, 2012 in the Meng Min Wei Music Hall in Tsinghua University (details forthcoming). I am writing to invite you to attend the event.
