Conference Notes

Dear Attendees:

        Welcome to the Celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of  Tsinghua University Library and Tsinghua-Cornell International Forum on University Library Futures: Adapting Library Heritage, Culture, and Values to the 21st Century University.

        We would like to provide you the following notes regarding the activities: 

  • Conference Registration

1.Please check in at the reception desk at Jinchunyuan Hotel（tel:86-10-62784008） in Tsinghua University. Conference Registration Time: 9:00-22:00, Nov.  1; Registration Place: the hall of Jinchunyuan Hotel. Please take the conference materials and your badge card. You can find the mobile phone numbers of your contact persons on the badge. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact them.
2. All attendees need sign in Mengmingwei Music Hall during 8:30-8:55am, Nov. 2,2012.Then the attendees already with badge card can directly enter the meeting room; other attendees have to check in first and get the conference materials.

  • Catering Arrangements

1. The dining hall is at the first floor, Jinchunyuan Hotel. There you can have breakfast with the room card.
2. Nov.1 Welcome dinner: Dining hall,Jinchunyuan Hotel                                     Supper time：6:30pm-7:30pm
    Nov. 2 Lunch (Buffet):Floor G, Humanities and Social Sciences library            Lunch time：11:45am-1:30pm
    Nov. 2 Farewell dinner:Jia Suo Dining Hall                                                        Supper time：6:00pm

If you have special reason not to attend above banquets, please tell your contact person in advance.

  • Notes to watch performances

1. All attendees will get the ticket of performances together with the conference materials.
2. Place of performances:New Tsinghua Xuetang.    Time:Nov. 2, 7 pm

             If you have special reason not to watch the performances, please tell your contact person in advance.

  • Notes to attend Ceremony & Conference

1. Please attend all activities on time with your badge.
2. Location：Meng Minwei Concert Hall

Please keep the order of Ceremony & Conference. Never smoke in the meeting room. Please keep your cell phone in silence during Ceremony & Conference.

3. We will provide mineral water and tea outside the Conference Hall. Please do not take water into the hall.
4. All attendees living in Jinchunyuan Hotel must arrive at the entrance of the Hotel before 8:10 am and then all  together may take the bus to the meeting hall, guiding by the staff of Tsinghua University Library on the morning of Nov. 2, 2012.

Tsinghua University Library will provide your local expenses in Beijing during the Celebration and the Conference, from Nov.1 to Nov.3.

If attendee will also take part in the meeting of Peking University Library on Nov. 4, please notify the contact person in advance. You had better arrive at the entrance of Jinchunyuan Hotel at 10 am Nov. 3, and then we would arrange the car for you to go to Zhonghuanyuan Global Village PKU.
